Rev. Tim and Beth Heiney

The Heiney’s began their ministry in the mission field as Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod missionaries in various West African countries from 1984 to 1994. They later relocated to West Africa to work with refugees from Liberia and Sierra Leone in establishing an indigenous church.

After serving in West Africa for 19 years, the Heiney’s returned to the United States for family reasons. In 2009, they transitioned to working out of West Africa, where the rest of the LCMS team was based.

Beth served as the project manager and volunteer coordinator for the field. They returned to the United States in 2013 and in late 2014 returned to Africa a to serve as missionaries with Global Lutheran Outreach.

Tim is a native of Michigan and Beth a native of New York. They have four adult children.
