Music

The purpose of our music ministry at Shepherd of the Hills is outlined in God's Word:

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,

singing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

~Colossians 3:16~

TALENTS NEEDED FOR MUSIC MINISTRY

  • A heart for serving the Lord and His people. Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Colossians 3:17
  • A desire to be a student of God’s Word. We do not live by food alone; instead, we live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4
  • An excitement for worshiping in God’s house with His people on a regular basis. Let us not give up meeting together, but let us encourage one another. Hebrews 10:25
  • A willingness to support the mission and ministry of Shepherd of the Hills. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27

Praise the LORD!

—in His sanctuary, with instruments and dance, with singing, with a new song,

letting the children rejoice, in speech and action, from the rising of the sun to its setting,

with the whole heart, in the midst of the congregation, with the angels and all creation,

calling on His name, with a joyful noise, with shouts of joy, among the nations,

because of His salvation and love and mercy and understanding and deliverance,

with blessing, clapping your hands, with hope, by listening for His voice,

without fear, with prayer from righteous lips, because all glory goes to Him,

from this time forth and forevermore—
