Missions

PRAY! Missionaries across the globe need our fervent prayers now more than ever. Many of them are quarantined and not able to provide fully to the people most in need. Some are providing online support to their students, their congregations and their staff, while others cannot provide online support due to the poverty in their region. Many of the missionaries highlight how the COVID pandemic has affected them. 


Shepherd of the Hills recognizes that our purpose is to share the Word of God and salvation through Christ to people throughout the world. This congregational focus has led to the recognition and support of missionaries throughout the world. Shepherd has developed relationships with and provides support to specific missionaries in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America.

Local Missions


Local missions provide an opportunity for members of Shepherd to demonstrate the love of Christ to members of our community though outreach and actions. Specific human care organizations and local missionary are identified for our support.

National Missions

National mission's focus is on support for missionaries, organizations and groups that provide aid and support to people within the country and outside of the Denver metro area. National missions provide ways for members of Shepherd to expand their support and actions while getting directly involved with missionaries and organizations reaching out to address needs across the country.

Navajo Mission - Shepherd of the Hills works with Pastor Tim Norton of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and Mission in Navajo, NM. This inter-generational mission trip helps with sports camps, VBS and other needs in the Navajo Nation. Read more about our July 22-26, 2021 trip HERE.

International Missions

International Missions focus on support for missionaries and organizations that share the Gospel, provide aid and support to people throughout the world. Shepherd supports missionaries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America.
